Toxic smoke from improvised cooking fires kills almost as many people as malaria. Part of the problem is the use of certain fuels and lack of ventilation. Cooking on an open fire or stove without a chimney with different types of fuels like wood, manure, vegetation waste or coal, causes a toxic smoke which can lead to health problems and deadly diseases.
